The main problem is after running for 15 seconds at idle is goes into restricted performance and the amber light comes on and it won't rev over 2750 revs . Even with the low battery, mine never failed to start - just the restricted performance light issue. If the battery shows less than 12.2v static after standing overnight, it needs charging. 2003 Jaguar S-Type 4.2L have a p1254 pedal correlation pds2 and lpds high. I know this code is linked t the throttle bodyhad the throttle body all apart and it looked good, the resiistance on the sensor that the motor rest on has proper resistnce. Please advise U1262. bottom line is the U1262 is a communication failure between your scanner and a module. assuming you actually pulled the code from the PCM then you have lost communication with a different module like the ABS, DDM, LCM, RASM, HEC, PAM and any other module I can't think of right now. You need a detailed pinpoint test from a Ford service Shine the light up towards the location of the hood latch and locate the latch release cable, Reach in with the pliers and grab the cable as close to the latch as possible. Once you have a firm grip on the cable, pull on it in the direction it naturally moves (i.e., towards the fender or down, depending on its routing). The fault code showed the offside (ie:driver's side) EGR valve faulty. It cost me £288 to get it replaced at an Indy, more expensive because this side is an absolute swine to get to.
